- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I had my first child at age 35 and toxemia set in. Dr. Young kept a close watch and when he saw that they might have to take her early, he gave me steroid shots to help her lungs finish developing. Then, a week later... they DID have to take her. Her lungs were fine! I really feel like he saved her life. He was not the doctor on call the day she was born, so he did not get to deliver her, but he was the one who called the shots and he did a great job!!!
